Computer problems.

So... Microsoft decided to fuck up my computer by making me install shoddy updates.
My laptop won't start after installing their latest update and I'm trying very hard to fix it. I have to write a paper tomorrow and my laptop has all the notes I need... plus, without my laptop my tablet is useless so no art for the next two weeks or until I can get it working since my dad has a thing against me installing major programs like Photoshop on his laptop.

Life hates me right now.


Bloody hell.

So it is Christmas...

Well... its almost Christmas.
Just one more take-home exam and I'm finished with this semester.
Sadly, school has been giving me no free time and I haven't been working on a bunch of personal projects that I have began. Or on a certain request and commission that I have been promising to complete since August. I'm terribly sorry ~malinas.
Another project was NaNoWriMo. I lasted about a week and stopped writing at around 28 000 words. Maybe next year, is what I tell myself.

I will be leaving for home to Toronto this Saturday (tomorrow) and it makes me :( that the portrait I was working on for the last few weeks [link] will have to wait for me to come back in January.

I might possibly take more requests/commissions in a week or early January. Maybe. If anyone is interested, let me know. The prices will be oh-so-low.


Well, this journal was damn fascinating.

Literature Contest!

This is a contest being held by *1-618 and ~winkymouse who also have writing accounts: ~NatMe and ~willconquers.


Here is a challenge for all of the writers here on deviantART: write a 55 word story. As simple as that.



RULES

:bulletgreen: The story must not be over 55 words or under 45. No matter what.
:bulletgreen: It must have everything a story has: a beginning, a middle and an end.
:bulletgreen: 3 entries per person will be accepted (not per account)
:bulletgreen: No fanfiction.
:bulletgreen: No plagiarizing. Please.
:bulletgreen: All entries must be new (uploaded after the beginning of the contest, November 6 2009)
:bulletgreen: Mature subjects are allowed but they must be respectful.
:bulletgreen: If you use a preview image that is not your own, please provide information about where you got it from.




HOW TO SUBMIT WORK

:bulletgreen: All entries should be submitted through a note to *1-618 that includes a link or a thumbnail to the deviation.
:bulletgreen: In the artist's comments please include a link back to the contest (this page) and any other comments you want to include.



The entries will be judged on originality, vision and impact.

The deadline for this contest is December 20 2009. No entries after that date will be accepted.
